Is Hulaya for weekly classes? +
No. Hulaya is built for workshops, camps & one-time dance events — not for weekly class schedules.
Who is Hulaya for? +
Hulaya is for dancers of all levels, studios, independent teachers, and event organizers. If you host or search for dance experiences, Hulaya is built for you.
Where is Hulaya available? +
We start in Switzerland and gradually expand into the DACH region and across Europe – city by city, community by community.

Do I need an account to book a workshop? +
Yes. With a free dancer account you can book events, save favourites, download confirmations, and access your full booking history at any time.
What payment methods are supported? +
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Most major debit and credit cards are supported, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay where available.
Can I cancel or change a booking? +
Refunds are handled according to the individual cancellation policy set by each organizer.
Hulaya acts as a booking platform and payment processor, but the responsibility for refund approval lies with the event organizer. Refund eligibility, deadlines, and conditions are always shown before booking.
If you have questions regarding a refund, please contact the organizer directly.
Do I get a receipt or confirmation? +
Yes. After booking, you receive a confirmation and you can always access your booking details in your account.

Can I list multiple styles or dates? +
Yes. You can create listings with multiple dates, levels, or styles – from one-off workshops to full camps and intensives.
How do payments and payouts work? +
When a dancer books your event, the payment is processed securely via Stripe. Stripe handles the payment flow and sends your earnings to your connected Stripe account.

Hulaya does not store bank details and all fees are shown transparently in the booking flow.

How can I give a dancer a refund? +
As an organizer, you control your own refund policy.

If you decide to issue a refund — or if your event policy requires one — you can manage this directly from your dashboard.

Go to your Sales section, open the specific booking, and click “Request Refund.”

Once submitted, Hulaya processes the refund securely through the payment provider.

You don’t need to handle the transaction manually. Refunds are only processed upon your request — Hulaya does not issue automatic refunds without organizer action.

Can I offer multiple ticket types? +

Yes. On hulaya, you can create a separate listing for each ticket type if needed.
This way, every organizer builds their own “store” with all available ticket options.

For Early Bird phases or price changes at certain dates, simply edit the listing under My Listings and adjust the price.
You can also update availability anytime (e.g. refill spots) directly in the listing settings.

What’s the commission? +
Hulaya uses a fair, tiered commission model based on your ticket price. On the Free Organizer plan the commission is:

What is a Hulaya Ambassador? +
A Hulaya Ambassador is a dancer or community builder who helps connect the local dance scene with Hulaya. You represent the movement, share opportunities, and help organizers bring their workshops, camps, and events into one structured place.
What do ambassadors do? +
Ambassadors help grow the community by sharing Hulaya within their network, bringing organizers on board, and giving real feedback from the scene. There is no fixed workload — it’s about impact, not hours.

 

Do Ambassadors earn money? +

Yes.

Ambassadors receive a fixed cash reward for every studio or organizer that successfully joins Hulaya through their personal referral link or code.

This is a clear, predefined amount per successful referral — not a percentage and not commission-based.

Exact reward details are shared once you’re accepted into the Ambassador program.

How do I apply? +
Currently, ambassadors are selected manually. If you want to be considered, reach out via our contact page and tell us your city, your dance background, and why you’d like to represent Hulaya.
